EREZEE
We design interiors by turning functions into simple, sculptural elements. Every space is reduced to its essentials and rebuilt with purpose.
We reinterpreted this gathering space, incorporating the cooking island as the centerpiece of a country retreat in southern Belgium. Stone walls, wooden beams, and terracotta tiles set the tone.
Dekton is one of the most user-friendly countertop materials, a key priority for the client. Its limited color palette pushed us to get creative in pairing the additional materials. We combined ton sur ton lacquer for the cabinetry, creating a cohesive color package that integrates seamlessly with the existing environment. A hint of color without dominating the space.
The curved edge allowed the old gate to open smoothly while lengthening the island for more workspace. Its curve, inspired by the gate’s radius, guides movement and softens the robust surrounding materials.
