In this newly built apartment in Antwerp, we took the opportunity to bring character and warmth into a contemporary setting.
Stainless steel adds a sleek touch, balanced by the warmth of parquet flooring and accents of colour. By opening up the compact kitchen, repositioning the tall cabinets and introducing a rounded island, we created a more open layout and a natural flow between the living areas. Artwork adds a playful touch, giving the space a more personal and lived-in character.
We see kitchens as extensions of the living space, not necessarily as traditional kitchens. Each one is shaped around the people who inhabit it and the way they choose to live, cook and gather.
